The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 201 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Monday.
The 201 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 73,374.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 224 patients from isolation centers across the country with no new death reported.
Kaduna state recorded the highest number of cases for the day with 74 persons testing positive.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria reported 53 new confirmed cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 25,005.
Katsina recorded 40 new cases, Rivers state reported 52 and Plateau 9 new cases.
Other states are Kwara-6, Bauchi-2, Ogun-2, Taraba-2, Edo-1 and Sokoto-1.
NCDC reports that there are 73,374 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 66,314 discharged and 1,197 deaths.
