    Nigeria announces 126 new coronavirus cases

    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 126 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Friday.

    The 126 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 59,127.

    The NCDC also announced the discharge of 141 patients from isolation centers across the country with no new death reported.

    Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria reported 62 new confirmed cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 19604.

    • Nigeria announces 153 new coronavirus cases

    Rivers state reported 22 new cases, Ogun state recorded 9 while Plateau state announced 7 new cases.

    Other states are FCT-7, Osun-5, Kwara-5, Taraba-3, Bayelsa-2, Abia-2, Zamfara-1 and Imo-1.

    NCDC reports that there are 59,127 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 50,593 discharged and 1,112 deaths.
