    Nigeria announces 125 new coronavirus cases

    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 125 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Thursday.

    The 125 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 57,849.

    The NCDC also announced the discharge of 113 patients from isolation centers across the country with no new death reported.

    Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria reported 37 new confirmed cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 19123.

    • Nigeria announces 111 new coronavirus cases

    Plateau state reported 18 new cases, Federal Capital Territory recorded 17 while Ogun state announced 15 new cases.

    Other states are Rivers-10, Benue-7, Kaduna-7, Anambra-5, Oyo-3, Cross River-2, Ondo-2, Edo-1 and Imo-1.

    NCDC reports that there are 57,849 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 49,098 discharged and 1,102 deaths.
