Bogoro Youth Vanguard, a youth association based in Bauchi State’s Bogoro Local Government Area, has describded former Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara as a desperate politician.
According to the group, Dogara’s recent activities were aimed at gaining attention and recognition from President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
In a statement titled “Re: Gov. Bala Mohammed‘s latest tirade and truculent buffoonery,” signed by the Chairman, Habila Daniel, and Secretary, Philip Kimsa, the group criticised the former speaker’s attack on the governor as needless and uncalled for.
It stated that a strong and formidable opposition would assist any responsible government in bracing itself and acting in the proper direction, and that instilling a vendetta and overheating the political climate was not the way to go.
The group said, “When it comes to trivialities, Dogara has proven to have won many awards with his edge-cutting records of childishness when engaging in national political matters.
“Less we forget, there is no politician in this country in the past 20 years that has exhibited a high propensity of betrayal, biting the fingers that feed him like Dogara has done, for the short period of political life he has lived.
“He has firmly masterminded the art of treachery and envy as against service to the nation or loyalty to political beliefs and dogma.”
It praised Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed for exhibiting capacity to reconstruct Bauchi while also maintaining long-term peace and mutual partnerships among the state’s residents.
According to the group, Dogara was clearly still dealing with the fallout from the state’s previous governorship race.
“For many of us at home, we knew that the introduction of Dogara into the campaign team of Air Vice Marshal Sadique was a killer itself, a lesson for any candidate in the future.
“Does he need to be reminded that he has no political structure at home? Whoever Dogara points the hand at is already an apology and lacking the right moral fibre to ride on,” the group stressed.
