    Tyler Perry’s new shows premiere on DStv, GOtv

    Tyler Perry, the creator of the well-known character Madea made a huge mark for himself by becoming the first African American to independently own the largest film studio in Atlanta, surpassing that of Warner Bros and Disney.

    Amidst the media buzz and accolades the entertainment mogul has been receiving following this feat, the writer and director is quick to reveal that his life has not always been easy; from facing obstacles such as being homeless at a point in time, he attributes his success to hard work, grit and determination.

    Tyler Perry has been fascinated with the acting world for a while, from setting up live stage plays at theatres to acting in, directing and producing his own films such as Diary of Mad Black woman, A Madea Family Funeral, Good Deeds and Nobody’s Fool. For those who are addicted and inspired by Tyler’s work, two captivating shows called Sistas and The Oval are set to premiere this Thursday, every Thursday on BET (DStv channel 129 and GOtv channel 21).

    Sistas revolves around a group of single black ladies as they navigate their complicated love lives, careers and friendships through the ups and downs of living in a modern world. Catch the likes of Kj Smith. To find out the juicy details straight from the lips of these ladies, watch out for the show at 8:30pm.

    The Oval carries the audience alongside the first family, the Franklins (played by Ed Quinn, Kron Moore, Paige Hurd and Daniel Croix Henderson), moving into the White House. What obstacles will they face? The drama starts 9:30 pm.

    Tyler Perry’s shows and films have been a hit after hit, so these two shows are undoubtedly a must watch. TV buffs should keep up with the new shows should reconnect on DStv or upgrade to GOtv Max.
