The Super Eagles’ players and officials are ready to leave Libya after a 14-hour delay and allegations of maltreatment by the host country on Sunday.

This was disclosed by sports enthusiast Pooja Media in a statement on X on Monday.

He wrote, “Super Eagles players and all officials are boarding to fly out of Libya to Nigeria. Thank God.”

Confirming this, a player, Bruno Onyemaechi, wrote, “Me and Libya, Nothing concerns me and you again. Thank God I’m going back.”

Prior to this, Libyan authorities allegedly refused to grant authorisation and aviation fuel to the chartered aeroplane, ValueJet, to bring the players back to Nigeria.
