    Super Eagles and Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi has ventured more into music by releasing his second single, ‘What’s Luv?’

    This comes after the success of his debut single, “Don’t Shoot,” which made him the first Premier League player to officially record music.

    His latest single, ‘What’s Luv?,’ which he shared on social media on Thursday, is a celebration of African culture, fusing Afro-Swing with rap components and featuring collaborations with friends SPKS and MBrown.

    Speaking to The Standard UK on Thursday, Iwobi stated that “Music has always been a passion of mine and a way for me to express myself away from football,” he said.

    “Music is a great tool, and I’ve always used it as a productive way to share how I feel. Historically, no Premier League player has brought out music with their name and face attached to it, but I like to be different and make a difference.

    “Growing up in an area of London that is challenging for some people, I know how hard it can be, and I’m grateful to have a platform to try and make a difference.”

    The former England player hopes his music will inspire others to pursue their dreams and stay positive.

    “Alongside the work we do in the community, I hope that my music is another way of proving that young people do not have to feel they have to fit in just one box.

    “I want them to be encouraged to achieve their dreams, to put their focus into positive things. Creating music doesn’t take anything away from my football; it helps me switch off.

    “I will always work hard and try to improve in my sport, but this is a good use of my spare time.”

    However, since the release, Nigerians have aired their opinions on Iwobi and the song.

    Michael EJ said, “You know how there are some things you never, ever expect to witness in this life? For some reason, seeing Iwobi rap is in the top 3, and I never knew until this moment.”

    Fadel wrote, “Ok, Iwobi, this is a vibe. Permission to help you push it.”

    Sigma-Tease said, “Well, at least you can leave the Super Eagles midfield and focus on your music; this is where you’d have our 100% support.”

    #Swagberg wrote, “This is a solid jam. Perfect retirement plan.”

    Unku stated, “Iwobi is setting himself up with this.”

    Josh, “Great retirement plan. And it’s not nonsense.”

    Bright, “You mean this is how your career is going to end, bro? I’m so sad for you. Why can’t you go for a better club and do well?”

    AFC Mike, “Nah, not feeling it stick to football, and what was that little dance at the beginning?”
