Neymar has admitted that his decision to quit European football for Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal was motivated by his desire to become a “global player.”

On Tuesday, the Brazilian finalized his £78 million move to Saudi Arabia after leaving reigning Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain after six years in France.

The Brazilian will earn a whopping £260m after agreeing a two-year deal in the Middle East, but he has claimed his true reasons for leaving PSG aren’t down to the money on offer.
