Former Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood has officially signed with Olympique Marseille, marking a big step forward in his career since leaving Old Trafford.
Renowned football transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano verified the news on Thursday via X, writing, “Official, confirmed.
Mason Greenwood joins Olympique Marseille as their new number ten.
Romano claimed that the transaction includes a €26 million fixed fee, €5 million add-ons, and a 50% sell-on clause for Manchester United.
The transfer follows intensive attempts by Marseille’s administration.
Romano wrote, “Pablo Longoria and Mehdi Benatia worked on the deal for weeks and got it done.”
According to Romano, Marseille manager Roberto De Zerbi took an active role in persuading Mason, calling him virtually every day.
