Manchester City players Erling Haaland and Kyle Walker  have spoken out on social media following their scuffle with Arsenal coach Nicolas Jover following Sunday’s Premier League match at the Emirates Stadium.

It was a sloppy match in north London, with few and far-between chances.

However, in the 86th minute, substitute Gabriel Martinelli won the game for the home team with a deflected drive past City goalkeeper Ederson.

Following the final whistle, CCTV showed arguments and pushing between Haaland, Walker, and Gunners coach Nicolas Jover, who previously worked at the Etihad Stadium.

Following the incident, Citizens right-back Walker took to Instagram to complain about his team’s performance. “Back-to-back defeats are a level we cannot and will not accept,” he wrote on Instagram.

“We have a period of time now to put things right, regroup, and show everyone our true level. Thank you for your support today.”

In the same vein, City forward Haaland wrote a message in a similar sentiment, saying: “Not the way we wanted to go into the international break, but we will bounce back together, as always.”

City are now third in the table, two points behind league leaders Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, as the international break approaches.
