Italian giants Juventus have reportedly held discussions with Romelu Lukaku and are able to finally finance a move for the Chelsea striker in this transfer window.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Juventus are interested in a deal for Lukaku, who has been left out by Chelsea and hasn’t been given a squad number.
Though a gap remains between Chelsea’s valuation of Lukaku and what Juventus are currently willing to pay, according to Corriere dello Sport, that could soon be addressed.
Rivals Inter Milan were interested in getting the signature of Lukaku on a permanent basis following his loan spell last season but saw their £26 million bid for the Belgian rejected by Chelsea, who are believed to want £40 million for the striker.
Last season, Lukaku scored 14 goals in 37 games for Inter and had previously spent two seasons at the club as a permanent player.
