Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun has completed a £38 million move to Monaco.
The 22-year-old returns to the league where he excelled last season after undergoing medicals on Tuesday in Monaco.
This season, Balogun has not featured in any Arsenal Premier League match.
Despite the fact the Gabriel Jesus, the preferred striker, is sidelined, Eddie Nketiah and Leandro Trossard have started in place of USA international Balogun.
The USA international moved from the Arsenal Academy and excelled at the club and national junior levels before deciding to play senior football for the USA.
Chelsea, a rival team in London, had expressed interest in the American attacker, and Inter Milan had also made inquiries this summer.
Last season, the 22-year-old had a productive loan spell at Reims, scoring 21 goals and taking fifth place in the battle for the golden boot.
