Barcelona has revealed that striker Robert Lewandowski has an injury that will keep him out for three to four weeks.
After a harsh tackle from Porto’s Fabio Cardoso, Lewandowski only lasted until the 34th minute with the rest of his teammates.
He appeared to be able to continue, but he was soon replaced by Ferran Torres.
At first, it merely felt like a setback because the Pole did not enter the changing room and instead sat on the bench with the rest of the substitutes.
Further results have revealed that the former Bayern Munich player will be out for four weeks.
On the bench, he joins Frenkie De Jong, Raphinha, and Pedri.
The 35-year-old will miss Poland’s forthcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers against the Faroe Islands and Moldova, as well as this weekend’s trip to Granada.
Lewandowski may also miss the season’s first El Clasico, which is scheduled for October 28th.
