Arsenal are set to finalize the signing of Swedish striker, Viktor Gyökeres, from Sporting Lisbon after reaching a full verbal agreement with all involved parties.

Renowned transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, confirmed the breakthrough on Tuesday, stating: “Viktor Gyökeres to Arsenal, here we go! Verbal agreement in place between all parties involved.”

According to Romano, the Gunners’ final offer of €63.5 million plus €10 million in add-ons has been accepted by Sporting, with the player’s agent also reducing his commission to ensure the deal’s success.

The 27-year-old forward is expected to sign a five-year contract with the North London side. Gyökeres, who had a stellar season in Portugal, was reportedly eager to make the move.

“He only wanted Arsenal,” Romano added.

With personal terms already settled and negotiations concluded, this signing becomes a significant addition to Arsenal’s ongoing summer transfer campaign.
