    Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Sunday paid a condolence visit to the family of Precious Owolabi, the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) member killed during a Shiite protest in Abuja.

    Prof. Osinbajo who visited the family in Zaria was accompanied by the governor of Kaduna, Nasir el-Rufai and NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Ibrahim Shuaibu.

    In the condolence register signed at the home of the Owolabi’s the VP wrote, “We bless the name of the Lord for the life of Precious. We cannot even purport to imagine the enormity of this loss to the family, but we’re confident that the Almighty God will comfort the family and bring back joy and peace to all members of the family in Jesus name.”

    Afterwards, he wrote a tribute to Precious Owolabi on Twitter along with a video of him commiserating with the family.

    Nothing will ever compare with the pain of losing a child.

    This evening, I visited the family of Precious Owolabi and as a nation, we grieve the loss of this bright young man.
