Pastor Bolaji Idowu, the lead pastor of the Harvesters International Christian Centre (HICC), has appreciated the grace of God in his life following his release from police detention.
The clergy who was arrested by the FCID in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, in connection to an alleged N1.5 billion fraud, was released on Tuesday by the police.
It was gathered that the police operatives from the FCID grilled Idowu in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, on Tuesday over his involvement in the alleged fraud.
A top police source at the FCID revealed that Idowu would sleep in the police cell on Tuesday for the alleged crime.
“The case emanated from one of his pastors who duped several people in a real estate scheme,” one of the top sources revealed.
However, the pastor was reportedly released in the late hours of Tuesday.
Speaking after his release, the clergy, in a statement on X on Tuesday, thanked God for “grace.”
“Grace, grace, grace, this is our story,” he wrote while urging his power and the members of the public to join his online prayer program titled ‘Communion, healing, and intervention.’
The police investigation revealed that funds in the scheme were traced first to Bolaji’s church account and later to his personal account.
