Former Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has delivered a stirring Easter message that cuts to the heart of the Christian faith, redemption through grace, not human effort.
In a reflective post shared on social media, Osinbajo reminded Nigerians that “all men are sinners” and warned that “the price of sin is hell.” He emphasised that without holiness, no one can see God.
However, in a message full of hope, he added that true holiness is beyond human ability and only achievable through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
“Jesus Christ paid the full price for all our sins,” he wrote. “For those who accept His sacrifice, we have become holy before God and we will see Him in glory.”
The message resonated widely with Christians marking the resurrection of Christ—Easter being a time for reflecting on the cornerstone of their faith. Osinbajo concluded with a heartfelt greeting: “Happy Easter!”
His words offered both a sober reminder and an uplifting promise, encapsulating the spiritual essence of Easter: that through Christ’s death and resurrection, hope triumphs over sin and death.
