Rev. William Okoye, General Overseer of All Christian Fellowship Mission, has stressed the need of reviewing the country’s leadership recruiting process.
Okoye made the remark while speaking to journalists in Abuja on Easter Sunday.
He said that the calibre of leaders that may emerge was decided by the recruiting process.
“How leadership is recruited has a lot to do with the type of leadership you eventually have.”
“If the process is flawed, you will have flawed leaders; if the process is correct, you will have the best possible leaders who will move the nation forward.”
“Unfortunately, our situation has not been that; we have always done things the wrong way, but we are trusting God because He hears and sees Nigerians’ sufferings.”
“Somehow, God will turn things around for the good of our nation through the power of the resurrection,” he stated.
The preacher, on the other hand, urged Nigerians not to lose hope, claiming that the victory of evil over good is always temporary.
He said that, just as Jesus resurrected from the grave, truth could not be buried, and that it would rise at the perfect moment.
On the occasion of Easter, the general-overseer said that redemption had been extended to everybody via the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
According to him, as many people as repent of their sins are granted the capacity to become God’s offspring.
