QPR have parted company with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

The Dutchman leaves Loftus Road following today’s 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest in the Sky Bet Championship.

Hasselbaink joined QPR in December 2015 and oversaw 47 matches in charge, winning 14, drawing 18 and losing 15.

The club appreciates Jimmy’s efforts during his time in charge and wishes him all the best for the future.

According Owing to the international break, the First Team squad will return to training on Wednesday.

A further update regarding the club’s managerial situation will be made in due course.

In September, undercover reporters working for The Daily Telegraph claimed that Hasselbaink negotiated a fee of £55,000 to act as an ambassador for a sports company that proposed selling players to his club.

The former Chelsea striker agreed to fly to Singapore to speak to investors in a Far Eastern firm that was seeking to be involved in the transfer of players.

He told undercover reporters posing as representatives of the firm: “Look, just try to make me happy… come up with a nice figure.”

It comes after the Telegraph disclosed that the England manager Sam Allardyce negotiated a £400,000 per year deal to represent the same company, which in reality was a fictitious firm whose representatives were undercover reporters.

Hasselbaink was however cleared of any wrongdoing by QPR after the club completed an investigation into a newspaper sting.

Rangers gave their manager “unanimous support” – claiming The Telegraph failed to provide them with enough evidence.

“The club can confirm that our internal investigation has now ended concerning The Telegraph’s reporting on inferences made on September 28 relating to our manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

“Throughout the comprehensive investigation, the club contacted and communicated with all the major parties involved, including The Telegraph, who failed to provide the club with the information previously requested.

“Despite a number of requests from both the club and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s legal team for the information relating to the inferences made on September 28, including video footage and a full transcript of the discussions that took place, nothing has been forthcoming.
