    The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won all 18 local government areas in the local government elections held in all the local government areas of Edo State on Saturday.

    The results issued by the state independent electoral commission showed that the party won all local government areas in the state.

    Aside from the PDP, the Labour Party (LP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) were among the major political parties whose candidates ran for chairmanship and councillorship in all wards.

    At the time of filing this report, the APC, Labour Party, and other political parties had yet to comment on the outcome of the elections.
