Victor Osimhen has been left out of Nigeria’s squad for the doubleheader 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Libya.

In the list released on Saturday, Interim Head Coach Augustine Eguavoen omitted Osimhen due to injury concerns but named in-form Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman in the 23-man squad.

The list contains regulars like skipper William Ekong, winger Moses Simon; Alex Iwobi; Stanley Nwabali, Samuel Chukwueze, Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, and Victor Boniface among others.

Playmaker Chidera Ejuke is also returning to the fold after many moons.

Nigeria will take on the Mediterranean Knights of Libya in a home-and-away tussle.
