Sometimes life throw things at you that makes you wonder why? Why is this not happening? Why is that not happening? Why are things so slow? Why are things not moving at all? And many more questions pop up but that’s life, it come in stages.

A few days back, I sat down and flashed back on how life has been to me and those around me, then I realised that we need to understand that at the right time things would work out, no matter the situation we find ourselves right now, we should be relaxed and trust in God.

I ask myself, how was life last year? How was life the year before? Did you plan it? Well I believe we mostly desire things and pray to God for a breakthrough, sometimes it works for us and at other times it does not because it was not the right time.

In my life time, I have seen a young lad graduate from school early, get a job and his very life was before him but because the money he had, he felt he was larger than life.

He bought a car and was feeling cool, maybe a little too cool. One day, he was travelling from Lagos to Ibadan, and that was the last we heard of him. He had an accident and died on that road.

Then I began to ponder, did money come a little too early for this young man? For those of us who didn’t have cars as youths, does it mean the end of the world? I tell you, many adults I know often say things like, I thank God I didn’t have this or that when I was younger, I would have gone nuclear.

After so many worries and after the anxiety we end up achieving our goal, but some people have high blood pressure from so much worrying that they can’t enjoy the money or their achievement when it comes.

My question is why worry over an issue that would surely come to past? Why cry over certain situations? The question I always ask myself is if as a child of God you worry so much and unbelievers don’t worry and they achieve purpose in life. Where is our faith in God?

What does the worry do at the and of it all? My view is that since we can’t change situation at present we should be optimistic for the future and we can and use our faith to change situations. Why don’t we just trust God and stop worrying?

Recently I met a mother who cried and explained that all is not well, and I asked how she has managed with her husband and the kids too? Do you wake up with a positive spirit in high expectation from God or you wake up angry, nagging, shouting and scaring the whole house?

She did not know how to reply me so I told her that sometimes our situation wants to control our life, but we must draw strength where there is none and use our will power to be strong and not allow the negative outweigh positive.

Let us not allow our present situation to push us or make us act strangely. Let us be in control of every situation we find ourselves. Challenges are compulsory in our life. The situation we come across and how we handle them matter.

I told my son recently that silence is Golden because you can’t quote silence, for someone who loves talking and it is a part of your life but suddenly you realise that people use your gift against you, I tell you, you can devise another way of talking that would not be used against you.

We learn everyday, the day we stop learning, that’s the day we die, so let the challenges come, let the situations come, but be expectant and positive that you would overcome any situation as far as you have prepared your mind to face any giant and handle them with prayers, positive mindset and you will achieve your goals in life. I tell you life is in stages and we must always be prepared for the worse and be ready to overcome whatever situation we find ourselves.
