The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, has officially commenced the admission process for its 12th Regular Course Degree Programmes for the 2024/2025 academic session.
In a press statement signed by the Registrar, Barr. Ekpere Fidelis Ezeugwu, the Academy announced that the online application portal will be open from July 28, 2025, to September 8, 2025, offering prospective candidates a six-week period to submit their applications.
To be eligible, applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth and possess a valid National Identity Number (NIN). They are required to have a 2025 JAMB result with a minimum score of 180, and must have selected the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, as their first-choice institution. Additionally, candidates must have at least six credits in WAEC or NECO—including English and Mathematics—in no more than two sittings.
Age requirements stipulate that candidates must be between 16 and 21 years old by October 31, 2025. Male applicants must be at least 1.67 metres tall, while females must be at least 1.64 metres. Males are also expected to have a minimum chest measurement of 86 centimetres. All candidates must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit, and must not be married or pregnant at the time of admission.
The application process involves visiting the Academy’s website, www.admission.polac.edu.ng, to generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code for the non-refundable fee of ₦6,000, which covers the Post-UTME Examination. Payment can be made at any commercial bank.
After payment, applicants are to fill and submit the online form, print it out, and upload scanned copies of their SSCE results, birth certificate, and certificate of origin—all of which must also be submitted at the time of the aptitude test.
Candidates will write a Computer-Based Aptitude Test at the Academy’s ICT Centre. Successful candidates will proceed to automated physical screening and medical examinations. Those who meet all requirements will be invited for interviews and final selection exercises.
“Successful candidates will be notified via email and SMS, with the date for commencement of training to be announced later,” Ezeugwu stated.
The Academy runs degree programmes in three faculties:
- Humanities: B.A. English, B.A. History & International Studies, B.A. Linguistics and Nigerian Languages
- Science: B.Sc. Computer Science, B.Sc. Forensic Science, B.Sc. Biological Sciences
