Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has debunked claims made by his predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi, regarding the profession of Amaechi’s wife.
In a recent interview on Channels TV, the minister accused the former Rivers State governor of lying by describing his wife as an industrialist.
According to Wike, Amaechi’s wife is a trader, not an industrialist.
Amaechi, a former Minister of Transportation, stated in an interview on Channels Television on Thursday that his wife is an industrialist.
Responding on Friday, Wike said, “I know Amaechi’s wife very well. Amaechi is insulting Nigerians. When did your wife become an industrialist? Which of the manufacturing companies does she own?
“I have always said that if we are playing politics, let’s play politics and leave our wives out of it.
Amaechi doesn’t know the difference between industrialists and traders.”
The FCT minister also criticized Amaechi for dragging his wife into public discourse, describing the move as unnecessary and misleading.
