The Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom (UK) have issued a warning to Nigerian women regarding the eviction of their husbands from their homes as a ploy to profit from the welfare of their children.
During a church service, Divine Restoration International Church, located at Hanworth House on John Ruskin Street, Camberwell, London, offered this counsel.
The seminar, which was designed for a largely Nigerian female audience, underlined the fact that over 70% of Yoruba women in England, Wales, and Ireland are single moms who may utilize the fear of police action against their children’s fathers to win welfare payments, Gistlover blog post reported.
An officer, backed up by colleagues from a variety of backgrounds, warned these ladies against engaging the police in family disagreements, stressing the significance of fatherly engagement in children’s lives to prevent them from missing parental care.
The officer also advised the ladies to avoid becoming victims of knife crimes, which are common in African diaspora groups.
He emphasized the need for both parents to be actively involved in the growth of their children.
