The troops of the Joint Task Force, Northwest Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD), in Zamfara State foiled a terrorist attack on Danjibga village in Tsafe Local Government Area and saved farm goods in Faru village in Maradun LGA.
Three terrorists were killed during the engagements, and three AK-47 rifles, three magazines, ammo, and two bikes were confiscated.
According to Captain Yahaya Ibrahim, the spokesperson for Operation Hadarin Daji, on December 7th, the joint troops of Operation Hadarin Daji foiled a terrorist attack on Danjibga village in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State, following a serious firefight that left two of the terrorists neutralised while others escaped with gunshot wounds.
“The troops recovered two AK-47 rifles, one magazine, and one motorcycle during the pursuit of the terrorists.,” he went on to say.
Similarly, another confrontation occurred on the same date between troops and terrorists in response to intelligence about the terrorists’ damage to farm produce and farmlands in the Faru village general area of Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
“The troops engaged the terrorists in a gun duel forcing the terrorists to flee in disarray.”
”During the encounter, one terrorist was neutralised while one AK-47 rifle, magazine, ammunition, and motorcycle were recovered.”
According to Captain Ibrahim, the motorbike was completely wrecked.
Zamfara is one of the northwestern states where banditry is prevalent. Kano, Sokoto, Kebbi, and Kaduna are among the others.
