Hon. Usman Bugaje, a former member of the House of Representatives, has stated that President Bola Tinubu does not have the solution to the problems in Nigeria.
Bugaje noted that Tinubu removed fuel subsidy on his first day in office without any strategy to mitigate the economic impact.
This, he claimed, was to blame for the national hardship, which has received little or no attention.
Bugaje, who featured on Channels TV’s Politics Today programme, stated that the current administration came into power unprepared for the task.
He inquired as to where the money saved from subsidies had gone since the removal of fuel subsidy, which threw the country into disaster.
He said, “The Tinubu government was not ready for governance. They thought it was going to be a tea party.
“We were expecting that for him (Tinubu) to announce the removal of subsidy, he must have had a plan…apparently he did that without any preparation.
“Today it is public knowledge that Bola Tinubu has no solutions to the problems of this country. His government has failed to address the most essential issues.”
He continued, “I am extremely disappointed, I can see a lot of sycophancy around him, and he seems to be very comfortable with the kind of people around him that don’t seem to have any idea in their heads.”
