President Bola Tinubu has called for Africa to harness her resources in a bid to develop the continent.

Tinubu made the call in a statement on his verified X page on Monday after meeting the President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Tinubu, who said that his meeting with Kagame was a success, stated that Africa has the capacity to develop itself.

He noted that the continent is blessed with an abundance of resources that has made the continent the envy of the world.

He called on leaders in the continent to improve trade within the continent in an effort to boost the economy of the continent.

Tinubu’s statement reads, “This evening, on the eve of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, I had meaningful conversations with Rwandan President Paul Kagame.

“Africa has what it takes to develop itself. We have the resources, the people, and the capacity.

“We must look inward to improve intra-African trade and collaboration to benefit the African people and the continent. The time for Africa is now.

“We can. We must. We will.”
