The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu received the most votes in the presidential and National Assembly elections held in Jigawa State on Saturday, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The collation officer, Professor Arma Ya’u Hamisu Bichi of Federal University Dutsin Ma, stated the presidential election was calm as he announced the results.
According to Bichi, the APC received 421,390 votes, the LP 1,889 votes, the NNPP 98,234 votes, and the PDP 386,587 votes.
The ruling APC received two senatorial seats and eight House of Representatives seats, while the opposition PDP received one senator and two Representative seats, and the NNPP received one House of Representatives seat
Alhaji Mustapha Khabib of PDP won in JIgawa southwest with 153,73 votes.
The APC candidate Alhaji Babangida Husaini won the JIgawa northwest senatorial seat with 187,049 votes and Ambassador Abdulhamid Ahmed Malammadori won JIgawa northeast senatorial seat with 136,977 votes.
