President Bola Tinubu has departed Malabo, Equatorial Guinea’s capital, following a three-day official visit.
He landed in Malabo on Wednesday, invited by his Equatorial Guinean colleague, President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
Right after his arrival, the President began several diplomatic and economic initiatives between Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea, including the signing of the Gulf of Guinea Pipeline Agreement.
Aside from the pipeline deal, the president’s visit resulted in the resurrection of the Nigeria-Equatorial Guinea Joint National Commission, which has set in motion several additional bilateral operations that would be implemented in November.
Tinubu, escorted by the Equatorial Guinean Prime Minister, Manuela Roka Botey, departed the Malabo International Airport at around 4:03 p.m.
