Three suspected kidnappers have been shot dead and others escaped with bullets wounds in Elele Alimini Community in Emohua Local Government Area, Rivers state.
The three met their waterloo in a gun duel with a team of vigilante in the area with support from men of the Elele Barracks of the Nigeria Army.

John Woke, Head Elele Alimini Vigilante, narrated that, “Following tip-off by members of the public that hoodlums had abducted victims and token them to their hideouts in a nearby forest along Elele Barrack Road and ransom being demanded, we (Vigilante) subsequently hinted the Nigeria Army.
“The Army quickly led the operation into criminal hideouts to rescue the victims and on citing the Army, the kidnappers opened fire which led to the killing of three.”
Rivers State police command was yet to confirm the development at the time of filing this report. Nigeria News
