Renowned activist and leader of the #RevolutionNow movement, Omoyele Sowore, has described the newly formed opposition coalition, the African Democratic Congress (ADC), as a coalition of criminals.
In a statement shared on his official X page on Wednesday, the publisher of Sahara Reporters alleged that the coalition is a gathering of past criminals in the country who have destroyed the country economically and politically.
His comments come after the unveiling of the opposition coalition led by former vice president Atiku Abubakar, former governor of Kaduna State Nasir el-Rufai, ex-senate president David Mark, Labour Party chieftain Peter Obi and other politicians in the country.
Reacting to the unveiling of the new coalition, Sowore alleged that the ADC is clandestinely working with President Bola Tinubu.
He said, “The coalition of yesteryear’s criminals and yesterday’s looters is now fully merged with the one led by Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialabat; they are one and the same!”
He also alleged that the primary aim of the coalition is to keep Nigeria and Nigerians in “bondage”.
“I love that their objective is now clear, which is to keep Nigeria in bondage,” he said.
However, Sowore added that “this clarity is a gift. It allows their true victims, the Nigerian people, to build their own coalition of justice, resistance, and liberation.”
