Senator Shehu Sani has kicked against a curvy, near-sexy symbol of justice at the entrance of a courthouse in Nigeria.
He said the symbol of the women was not what the symbol of justice should look like and his reaction has since generated many comments.
In a post on his Twitter account, he wrote, “This is not the approved symbol of justice. It should be pulled down and replaced with the one we are familiar with,” Shehu Sani tweeted.
Reacting to Sani, Asiwaju Olujide said, “This one is to fight for women equality”.
Another Twitter user, Lawrence Okoro joked about the symbol, noting that, “There’s always a backside to Nigeria justice system”.
However, DaMondezz had a different view. “This is the right one we should have. Lady Justicia in Nigeria is African and must be represented appropriately like a real African lady.”
Sani, a human rights activist and politician contested the Peoples Democratic Party governorship primaries in 2022 and garnered two votes.
