    A senior legislative aide has collapsed and died at the entrance of the National Assembly on Monday.

    The aide who has not been named at the time of filing this report, is reported to have died before he secured a medical pass.

    Attempts by medical personnel at the National Assembly, who rushed to his aide in an ambulance, to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.

    Punch reports that the Grade Level 16 worker was on his way to obtain a pass for medical services at the National Assembly clinic when he slumped.
