The Nigerian senate has ordered the Nigerian Communication Commission to stop the increment of internet charges (NCC) by service providers.
While the details of the reason for the suspension is still unknown, but sources revealed that Senate’s timely intervention made NCC to reverse their decision.
The Senate President Bukola Saraki, said in a tweet that “We are now debating the proposed NCC data price hike on the floor of Senate.”
