Governor Banajide Sanwo-olu-led Lagos State government has successfully airlifted and returned 310 pilgrims who travelled to Jerusalem, Israel, on pilgrimage.

On Tuesday, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu stated this via his X Twitter.

Sanwo-Olu tweeted, “I’m happy to announce that we have successfully airlifted and returned all three hundred and ten citizens who went on pilgrimage to Jerusalem, Israel.

“I want to thank you all for your concern, and I must also express my joy to our Ministry of Home Affairs for a job well done.”

The return of the travellers comes on the heels of the ongoing hostility between Israel and Palestinian militants, which has reportedly claimed over 2,000 lives.

According to reports, the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission has announced the suspension of all religious travels to Israel and Jordan as a result of the ongoing crisis.
