Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have dispersed #FearlessInOctober protesters gathered at the Utako Market in Abuja.
Chronicle NG reports that the demonstrators had gathered at the market as early as 7 am on Tuesday to demonstrate the hardship faced by Nigerians occasioned by government policies and programs.
However, police operatives promptly dispersed the demonstrators at about 8:54 am.
The October 1 demonstration, tagged #FearlessInOctober, is a continuation of the #EndBadGovernance demonstration held between August 1 and 10 in response to the economic hardship faced by many Nigerians.
However, the protest turned violent in several states in the country, leading to the arrest of demonstrators and the imposition of curfew in affected states.
