Two Nigerian policemen were caught on camera requesting money from a lone Dutch female biker exploring African countries by road.

This interaction was filmed in a viral video on X (previously Twitter) showing the officers asking the tourist what she brought from her home country, the Netherlands, when they met her along the Moniya-Iseyin Road in Oyo State, southwest Nigeria.
The Dutch woman who told personnel she was going to the Nigerian capital city of Abuja was astonished when they refused to let her go unless she gave them money.

“Wetin you bring come? Give me something. Wetin you want to give me? Give me money.” The two police officers were heard chorusing their demands to the tourist.

In response, the Oyo State Police Command, via its verified X handle, deemed the incident deplorable, adding that all personnel involved had been arrested and could face disciplinary punishment.

The command wrote, “The viral video portraying the regrettable misconduct of certain policemen along Moniya-Iseyin Road has been accessed. All those involved have been apprehended for immediate disciplinary action. Supervision will be increased.”
