The Abia State Police Command stated that in order to uphold discipline in the force, it has de-kitted and dismissed an operative of its mobile police squad over unethical conduct.
The command released a press statement on Wednesday, signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO DSP Maureen Chinaka on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Danladi Isa, which stated, “The public is hereby notified that Inspector Kufere Moses, formerly serving at Mopol 55 PMF Aba and attached to UBA Bank Guard in Aba, Abia State, has been dismissed from the Nigeria Police Force, effective 21st February 2025. He has also been de-kitted, and all police accoutrements have been retrieved from him.
“This action follows administrative disciplinary measures taken against him by the command for ‘discreditable conduct and offences against discipline’.
Isa emphasised the command’s zero tolerance for unprofessional behaviour, assuring the public that the command will not tolerate the actions of rogue actors inside the force.
“Under my leadership, the command remains committed to the Inspector General of Police’s vision of ensuring a professionally competent, service-driven, rule-of-law-compliant and people-friendly police force,” the CP said.
All attempts to contact relevant police authorities for more information on the incident were futile at the time of filing this report.
