Corporal Opeyemi Kadiri, Force No. 509745, assigned to the Dolphin Divisional Headquarters of the Lagos Police Command, has been discharged from the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) for flagrant misconduct, disobedience to a valid order, and assault on a member of the public.
His dismissal takes effect from Friday, August 12, 2022. On August 3, 2022, Corporal Opeyemi Kadiri was shown in a popular video attacking a bystander.

According to a press release from the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the fired officer, who joined the Force on December 6, 2016, was found checking a commuter’s phone by the side of the road in violation of IGP Usman Alkali Baba’s orders.
e equally assailed the commuter for attempting to call his attention to the instruction.
In the meanwhile, the Police have urged its personnel to carry out their responsibilities in accordance with current laws while still acting with professionalism and decency toward members of the public.
The Force also urged the general public to behave properly at all times when they interact with police personnel to avoid offenses that could result in legal action.
