Rivers State Police Command has arrested a man simply identified as Michael for reportedly stabbing his friend, Uchenna, to death after accusing him of stealing his phone.
According to reports, the incident occurred last Wednesday on Egede Street in the Mile 2 axis of Diobu in Port Harcourt.
According to a source, Uchenna paid Michael a visit at his home in the city center, as the two have been friends for many years.
When Uchenna visited Michael, they were together, but after a while, the latter couldn’t find his phone and began a frantic hunt.
The source said, “So Michael accused Uchenna of stealing his handset, but Uchenna denied the accusation, and a heated argument ensued.
“As the brawl grew to a fever pitch, Michael picked up a jackknife and allegedly stabbed Uchenna in the stomach.
“We gathered that Uchenna was rushed to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead, while Michael was later arrested by the police.”
