Nollywood star, Funke Akindele popularly known as Jenifa, has been arrested for hosting a house party that defied Federal Government’s restriction on social distancing and lockdown.

Akindele was arrested on Sunday for hosting a house party on Saturday in honour of her husband, Abdul Rasheed Bello a.k.a. JJC Skillz, a singer.

JJC Skillz posted the video of the house party that had in attendance celebrities, friends and family on social media.

The party attracted more than the permissible number in line with the restriction order to contain COVID-19 pandemic.

Nigerians had called for the arrest of the actress early Sunday after the video went viral.

Some of the celebrities at the party included singer Naira Marley and Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus.
