Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday presided over the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
The FEC meeting kicked off around 11 am with opening prayers from the two major religions in the black most populous country, Nigeria.
Muslims prayer was offered by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, while the Christian prayer was said by the Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uchechukwu Ogah.
Apart from the ministers, other cabinet members in the hall included the Secretary to the Government of the Federation represented by the Dr. Habiba Lawal, the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, and the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Folasade Yemi-Esan.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday left Nigeria to participate at a three-day Russia-Africa Summit in Sochi, Russia.
The FEC meeting was still in progress at the time of filing this report.
