His Royal Majesty, Oba Hameed Makama Oyelude, Olowu of Kuta Kingdom has commiserated with the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Yusuf Buratai, over the passing of his mother, Hajiya Hauwa Yusuf Buratai.
The Osun Monarch in statement on Wednesday described the death of the matriarch as a sad blow to the family, but they took solace in the exemplary life she lived.
It could be recalled that the death of Buratai’s mother was announced on Tuesday, and the laying in state slated for Wednesday morning.
“There is no doubt her demise is very painful and a sad blow to the family, but as Muslims we take solace in the fact death is incumbent on everyone and that she lived an exemplary life.” Olowu of Kuta said.
“Indeed, Kakah Hajja contributed immensely to the development of human capital, the growth of economy and commercial activities of Buratai town and beyond.
“She exemplified selflessness, dedication and commitment to humanity.
“Therefore, as her children and grandchildren, you should be very proud and grateful for her accomplishments and continue to pray for her.
“May Almighty Allah grant her aljannah firdausi and continue to give you and the entire family the courage as fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” he added.
