Dr Olabode Ibikunle, a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Education at Kogi State University in Anyigba, died while having sex with a 200-level student in a hotel room.
According to several sources, the married scholar booked into the hotel three days ago with a young woman identified as an Ebira social studies education student.
According to sources, Dr Ibikunle drank many energy drinks prior to the encounter, allegedly to improve his performance and eventually please his student-turned-lover.
It was also revealed that, while the opening round allegedly went smoothly, disaster happened as he prepared for a second round with the instructor. He was believed to have collapsed abruptly.
The alarm was promptly raised, and the student was taken into police custody for interrogation.
She apparently admitted to investigators that she had no idea how the Ibikunle died.

Police are investigating probable foul play, including poisoning.
The story has subsequently gone viral among university students, many of whom expressed shock, incredulity, and, in some cases, inappropriate humour.
Memes and remarks about the late lecturer’s allegedly strict academic standards have been flooding social media channels.
In numerous higher education institutions, illegal connections between instructors and female students are common.
Many students, particularly those who have been victims of amorous instructors, appear to be overjoyed because one of these rogue eggheads has died in his boots.
At the time of filing this report, the police had not confirmed the official cause of death, and investigations are ongoing.
