    The management and staff of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) Limited have welcomed the appointment of Mr. Bayo Ojulari as the new Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) and the newly constituted Board of Directors by President Bola Tinubu.

    In a statement signed by the Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, NNPC Ltd expressed profound appreciation to the outgoing GCEO, Mr. Mele Kyari, and the former Board Members for their selfless and dedicated service to the company and the nation.

    “Mr. Kyari’s leadership and tireless efforts have left an indelible mark on NNPC Ltd., and we are sincerely grateful for his outstanding contributions,” Soneye said.

    NNPC Limited also extended best wishes to Mr. Kyari and the departing Board Members, hoping for their continued success and fulfillment in their future endeavors.

    Chronicle NG reported that Ojulari is a native of Kwara State and a seasoned Nigerian engineer with experience in petroleum, process, and production engineering.

    The new GCEO of NNPC created the BAT Advisory and Energy Company Nigeria Ltd in September 2021 and served as its board chairman. One of the main tasks of the company was to provide consultancy services to firms in the oil and gas/energy sector.

    Ojulari was named the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Renaissance Africa Energy Company in January 2024, a position he held until his new appointment as NNPC chief.
