Nigerians say Obi is the most intelligent politician in the country

Nigerians have described Peter Obi, the Labour Party candidate in the 2023 presidential election, as the most intelligent politician in Nigeria.

Obi received accolades all over social media, with many applauding him for being “the most upright and corruption-free politician” in the country.

With many arguing that his loss at the 2023 polls is everyone’s loss, Nigerians noted that his track records and his acceptance outside the shores of the country speak volumes.

These commendations come on the heels of the just concluded US general elections, where Republican candidate Donald Trump emerged victorious.

In a statement on X on Thursday, the former governor of Anambra State mentioned that he called the US president-elect Donald Trump to congratulate him. A development that led to applause from Nigerians over Obi’s acceptance.

“Peter Obi is the most intelligent politician in Nigeria. That he is not Nigeria’s president is everyone’s loss, including those who deride him,” X user Tomide Ojo stated.

“Obi is not only the most intelligent politician; he is the most upright and corruption-free politician in Nigeria,” he added.

Several other Nigerians shared the same sentiments, agreeing that his failure to win the 2023 presidential election in Nigeria is everybody’s loss.

However, some others opined that Nigeria “dodged a bullet” by rejecting the Labour Party chieftain, who came a distant third at the polls.

This publication highlights below some of the mixed reactions of Nigerians to the claims that Obi is the best politician to pilot the affairs of the country.

FelixVR, “We can’t agree less; it’s a collective loss that his mandate was undermined by a rotten electoral process and that billions of naira were wasted just to fool the whole nation, and they think they can succeed? Shame on APC.”

Uche Okoro, “I strongly agree with your assessment of Peter Obi. His intelligence and forward-thinking approach to governance is desperately needed in Nigeria. It’s shortsighted of his detractors to not recognise the immense value he could bring to the presidency. Obi’s leadership would undoubtedly benefit all Nigerians, regardless of their current opinions of him.”

Miz Tricia, “Definitely agree with you on this; Peter Obi is the number one contender for the championship in Nigeria.”

Jidejive, “Totally agree! It’s a real missed opportunity for Nigeria. His leadership could have made a big difference for everyone, even the sceptics.”

Niyi B. Akintade, “That is an insult to serious and brilliant politicians like Dr. Olusegun Mimiko. Obi that is always going about like a snake, no entourage, no acolytes, no individuals that rose to prominence through him. A to Z, it is Peter Obi solo.”

Montero Oluwole, “He’s so intelligent that he built the worst roads in Anambra history and holds the world record for healthcare strikes. You’re either too young or too dumb. I’m sure you haven’t been to Anambra. Even Ojukwu was more brilliant.”

Gboye, “Peter Obi is the most intelligent politician in Nigeria. That he was not Anambra’s governor is Anambra’s loss. Today, Anambra’s GDP would be higher than Lagos or Rivers State. Anambra’s IGR would’ve gone through the roof. What a loss for Anambra and Nigeria at large.”

Adebayo Olugbeja: “Every Nigerian politician is brilliant before entering and after leaving the office. In-between, they always lose it.”

Jasper Ume, “With present government rascality in expenditure & weight of looting sprees going, no sane country or business inclined foreign companies will venture to invest in Nigeria; they know where their money will be safe. With Obi, companies could’ve flooded Nigeria to invest to boost up.”

Emmy, “I wish Anambra had the same advantage as Lagos during Peter Obi and Tinubu’s time as governors; all this comparison wouldn’t come to an end long ago.

“Peter Obi did what every other governor has never been able to do till date in Anambra.”
