The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced Nigeria’s single highest one-day coronavirus cases in the country on Saturday with 779 cases.
The 779 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 24077.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 372 patients from isolation centers across the country with four new deaths reported.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria topped the number of confirmed cases with 285 new cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 10026.
Rivers state recorded 68 new cases, Federal Capital Territory reported 60 new cases while Edo, Enugu, Delta, Ebonyi and Oyo recorded 60, 56, 47, 42 and 41 new cases respectively.
Other states are Kaduna-19, Ogun-18, Ondo-16, Imo-12, Sokoto-11, Borno-9, Nasarawa-8, Abia-5, Gombe-5, Kebbi-5, Kano-4, Yobe-3, Ekiti-3 and Osun-2.
NCDC reports that there are 24077 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 8625 discharged and 558 deaths.
