The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced Nigeria’s single highest one-day coronavirus cases in the country on Tuesday with 663 cases.
The 663 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed cases past the 13000 mark to 13464.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 166 patients from isolation centers across the country with four new deaths reported.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria topped the number of confirmed cases with 170 new cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 6065.
Ogun state reported a whooping 108 new cases while Bauchi recorded 69 cases and Ebonyi state reported 49.
Edo recorded 33 new cases while Rivers recorded 30, the Federal Capital Territory had 26 new cases, Jigawa 26 and Delta 20.
Other states are Anambra-17, Gombe-16, Kano-16, Imo-15, Abia-14, Borno-11, Oyo-11, Plateau-8, Kebbi-6, Kaduna-6, Ondo-4, Niger-2, Katsina-2, Osun-1, Ekiti-1, Kwara-1 and Nasarawa-1.
NCDC reports that there are 13464 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 4206 discharged and 365 deaths.
