    Nigeria announces 454 new coronavirus cases

    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 454 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Friday.

    The 454 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 27564.

    The NCDC also announced the discharge of 268 patients from isolation centers across the country with 12 new deaths reported.

    Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria topped the number of confirmed cases with 87 new cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 10910.

    • Nigeria announces 626 new coronavirus cases

    Edo state recorded 63 new cases, FCT reported 60 new cases while Ondo, Benue, and Abia recorded 41, 32 and 31 new cases respectively.

    Other states are Ogun-29, Oyo-19, Kaduna-17, Delta-16, Enugu-15, Borno-14, Plateau-9, Nasarawa-8, Kano-5, Bauchi-4, Gombe-2, Katsina-1 and Kogi-1.

    NCDC reports that there are 27564 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 11069 discharged and 628 deaths.
